Who makes ForgeBridge

Why it exists

When my Flashforge AD5X arrived I did what anyone does: downloaded a multicolor project from MakerWorld, opened it in OrcaSlicer and watched the slicer throw away everything the designer had carefully set. Of course, the profile was for a Bambu printer. I had two options: redo every setting by hand for the rest of my life, or spend a few months writing something that did it in ten seconds. I went with the second one, for my own files first, and then turned it into a website so nobody else had to take that detour.

ForgeBridge went live in August 2026 and thousands of projects go through it every week now, from more than eighty countries. It is free as long as the community can support it, it asks for no accounts, and the file you upload is not stored anywhere. And almost everything it does well today I owe to people who took the time to write and tell me what came out wrong.

How a printer gets on the list

The profiles come from the official Flashforge ones that ship with OrcaSlicer, pinned to a known version. But that is only the starting point. A printer gets into the selector only when someone has printed a converted file on it and told me how it went. Printed, not sliced.

I learned that rule the hard way. The Creator 5 looked perfect on paper, until the first user printed with it and found all four toolheads hot at the same time. No test was going to catch that. So the list is short on purpose: five printers I can answer for, and a report that shows you every decision the converter made with your file.

Who I am

My name is Rodrigo Mass and I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I write software for a living and 3D print as a hobby. I make ForgeBridge on my own. It is free as long as the community can support me: that support pays for a server that keeps growing in memory so there are no waiting queues and bigger files get in, and it lets me set aside other paid work to give this my time.

If a file comes out wrong, write to me from the contact page or at hola@forgebridge.app. The files people send me are how this gets better, and I answer every message myself.

What ForgeBridge is not

I have no ties to Bambu Lab, Prusa Research or Flashforge, and I do not host models: the site converts the file you already downloaded and gives it back to you. Everything it promises about your data is on the privacy page, written so you can check it against how the site actually works.
